At Western, we take pride in our consistent delivery of excellent food and our commitment to quality dining experiences for our students. Our expert chefs offer a wide variety of fresh food designed to satisfy your appetite with food choices to rival your favorite restaurants.

Our diverse menus offer everything—from vegan and vegetarian dishes—to hand-crafted pizzas, omelets, sandwiches and soup. We also cater to dietary restrictions, to ensure that there is something delicious for everyone.

The Rare Air Café embodies convenience and community. From dawn to dark, you can enjoy a well-balanced, all-you-can-eat selection of food while enjoying downtime with friends, classmates or even just a quiet meal by yourself.

Resident Resources

Whether you’re a new or returning student to Western, we know you probably have a lot of questions about how to successfully navigate life on campus. Our Resident Resources will provide you with the important information you need about residents’ rights, campus safety, internet access and more.

Employee Transitional Housing

Western offers transitional housing to new, benefitted employees who are relocating from outside the Gunnison Valley. Apartments are available to both staff and faculty for up to one year, pending availability. The Employee Housing Application can be found in Western’s housing portal.
